| Niels Duffuës met Stone Bowels Een bijna transcendentale ervaring in een traag tempo en met een tijdloze sfeer. In Stone Bowels combineert songwriter, theater- en filmmaker, musicus en schrijver Niels Duffhuës super8-filmbeelden met (live) muziek. Duffuës maakte opnames tijdens zijn talloze reizen. Eenmaal terug monteert hij de beelden en componeert hij er muziek bij die de ‘gemoedstoestand’ van het landschap verklankt. ‘Tussen wat ik nu maak en zeg maar de verhalende speelfilm zit zoveel ruimte en zoveel mogelijkheden dat ik een compleet nieuwe artistieke wereld voor mezelf heb opengetrokken waarin ik gestaag een weg zoek’, aldus de maker. |
Het project zal deze zomer in Nice met lokale muzikanten worden voortgezet, op uitnodiging van Concert ‘Chez Moi’ en ‘Nice Short Film Festival’ in muziekclub Le Volume. Na een try-out keert Duffuës in oktober op het Nice Short Film Festival. Nu alvast een voorproefje in Tilburg. |

'With this project I want to create a strong contrast to the flashy time we live in. A transcendental experience with a slow pace and a timeless atmosphere.' Stone Bowels is a project by Niels Duffhuës of 8mm landscape films and (live)music. On his travels he shoots on 8mm film (super 8). Back home Niels makes short films out of the footage and composes and records the music. When the films are finished he puts them out on the internet and performs by playing live-music with the films.
