Alejandra Hernández was born in Bogota, Colombia (1989) and completed her bachelor in visual arts in Bogotá 2011, before moving to Belgium and starting her MFA in KASK School of Arts in Gent. She has been part of various collective exhibitions and had a  couple of individual ones .Painting and drawing have been her principal mediums, influenced by  experiences of daily life, music, art history, film and mythology, among others. The result is often a combination of images and symbols that play between reality and fantasy, portrayed in moments where ambiguity is present. In 2015 she will begin a post master program at HISK Higher Institue for Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium.
